Indiana Trip

This blog is turning into just a shell of its former self!

So, yeah. For the last month we've been gone more than we've been home. In October we took a trip north to Indiana and attended a wedding! That was great, we had a week and a half to enjoy time with family between the ceremony and a seminar that Cierra attended at Purdue. The problem started when we got home... and my beloved computer was switched back on.

"Beep!" said my computer happily, and the boot sequence whizzed by, revealing the Windows logo complete with progress bar to give us faith that Windows is in fact loading and not just building anticipation. "Click!" said the computer dizzily, and then passed out. The screen was black. Uh-oh.

Turns out it was a fatal problem, and I am now typing this on a brand-new laptop. So with the time lost due to technology problems and all of the travel we are WAY behind. And with all of the other things going on around here, we are in serious danger of just never catching up. So here are a bunch of pictures from the Indiana trip with minimum narration. Because it's really all about how cute Carter is anyway. Here we go...

Cierra's cousin Kara got married in a beautiful ceremony on Grandview Lake. She tried to get Carter to come over for a picture but he was a little freaked out by the dress.

Time at Grandview always means one thing... BOAT RIDES!

Carter got obsessed with getting up to the upper deck. Then he got all cross because I wouldn't let him walk around up there. Gosh, Dad, you treat me like a baby or something!

Fist bump! We can thank Uncle Krin for teaching him to be cool.

Carter is loving this boat thing! He stood up at the railing and pointed at everything.

While in Columbus, we dropped by Grandpa Bardonner's house. He had a new toy for Carter, a little barn and tractor set.
When he broke out the bubbles, that's when Carter got REALLY excited.

And some cute pictures I can't quite place...

Here's Carter in his Halloween costume...

...and the same lil' gator with Aunt Alexis...

The flowers at Grandview were especially beautiful for Kara's big day...

Okay, now that I get down to the last couple of pictures I realize that I'll have to advance the story a little farther to make this make sense. So just after we'd bought the new computer but before we'd had time to make another blog post, we had to leave again, this time to go up to West Virgina for my brother Freeman's wedding. I haven't uploaded any of those pictures yet, that will be in a post very soon, but here are a couple of photos of Carter playing around my parents' place in Virginia, where we stayed for one night after the wedding.

Coming up next time... Pictures and stories from the wedding of Freeman and Kate, plus the saga of the road trip Carter, Grandpa and I took all the way down to Louisiana and back. Good times!
