Sorry for the long time between posts. We took a little time off from our normal routine and went up to Chicago, and then spent a few days visiting family in Indiana. Grandpa Greg and I shared the backseat with Carter on the way to the airport on our return trip and we kept him happy by slipping various objects into his seat for him to play with. What do you think... should Pepsi sign him on as their primary spokesbaby? That 6-12 month market is a hard one to crack and he could be key...

Making it work...
Back at work. I'm going to figure out this arm-leg situation, then you'd better watch out!
Baby giggles. It's the best sound in the whole world. :)

Big Grins
We're also working our way toward mobility. Just in the last few days he's started to get his pelvis off the ground... but instead of getting up on his knees, he just ends up pushing his legs out again and his powerful arms just schooch him backwards a bit on the floor. Repeat multiple times and I feel like my baby is stuck in reverse. Here he shows off his progress. Note he's so good at sitting now that Cierra felt comfortable stepping away to take this video.
And when we're done with all the hard work with Mommy, then it's time for a play session with Daddy! He loves it when I tickle him with my nose.

Love me, Love me
Seriously though, what can I say, the camera loves me. Can you blame it? Ha, just kidding. But really, don't hate me because I am beautiful. Instead, love me. And give me milk.
Here I am sitting up outside on my blanket! Notice this picture is blurrier than the others. This is also right around the time Mom lost her glasses. Coincidence? I don't think so. Mom is never going to figure out where I put those things. I'll bet Dad and the lawn mower can find them!

6 Month Photo Shoot
Amy is one talented gal! (http://www.amyfree.com/) Carter wasn't really on his game that day - it was a little early for him and a bit windy, but she still managed to capture some great moments...
How to be like Carter
Anyway, lots of you who would like to do better with the fairer sex have written in to ask how I've been reeling them in. So I thought I would let you in on a few details of my routine. I like to start off every morning with 50 or so pushups. I'd do more, but I can't quite get my butt off the floor. Then I eat 5 raw eggs. Well, I would if mom would let me. Instead, she eats 2 cooked eggs, then I get some milk. So it's kinda like eating filtered eggs.
Every day, I take a nice long walk. You've got to get your excercise! Now, some of you might be saying that I'm not actually walking while strapped to mom. To those folks, I say, you've obviously never had to hold my baby head up while being bounced around in a giant sling. Trust me, it's exercise.
Anyway, all this hard work is paying off in spades. I can sit straight up in my stroller now and look out for that Pogo on the floor or see where I can aim my binky when I throw it overboard. I get extra points if I get it in Pogo's bowl or if Dad has to move furniture when he's retrieving it.
Here I am sitting up by myself. Mom cut out the part where I fell over backwards, but that's why Dad's sitting next to me... I told her that I meant to do it, that's what trust falls are all about!
I've also discovered a giant yet rather tasteless lollipop affixed to my exer-saucer. If I can just figure out how to keep it in my mouth while I push the noise buttons, I'm set for life! This is also excellent exercise for building arm tone.
And for leg strength, I try to spend about 45 minutes a day in my jumperoo. I'm getting so good at it, Dad had to set it up for level 2 just yesterday.
So remember, you too can make time with the ladies by following these simple steps. Oh, and it doesn't hurt to be a really cute baby.

Half Year Birthday
Since I'm getting to be so mature, apparently I have to start eating stuff that isn't milk. Mom stuck her finger in my mouth with something called "banana" this week. Boo. Dad captured the sequence on the camera....
Baby happy..... Baby eats banana...... Baby not happy. What's the big deal about this eating thing again? Think I'll just stick with milk.
